Owners ![]() Pete Johnson - Warren Creighton - Stephen M. Downing Patrick H. (Pete) Johnson Mr. Johnson graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1971 earning a degree in business administration. Mr. Johnson also graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Banking and earned a law degree from the Mississippi College School of Law. After receiving his law degree, Mr. Johnson joined the Bank of Clarksdale in Clarksdale, Mississippi as a Senior Vice President and Trust Officer. In the following years, Mr. Johnson was recognized as one of Mississippi's top leaders by the Mississippi Economic Council, served as the president of the Young Bankers Section of the Mississippi Bankers Association and formed and operated his own financial planning firm. The Governor of Mississippi also appointed Mr. Johnson as chairman of the Mississippi Marketing Council in 1984. Mr. Johnson was elected as Mississippi's State Auditor in 1987. Upon leaving office in 1992, President George Bush appointed Mr. Johnson as the Mississippi director of the Farmers Home Administration. In 2001, President George W. Bush appointed Mr. Johnson as the federal co-chairman of the Delta Regional Authority. Mr. Johnson has served as the president of the Clarksdale-Coahoma County Chamber of Commerce, chairman of the Industrial Foundation and the director of the Delta Council's Community. As a member of the Executive Branch of the U.S. Government Mr. Johnson was required to resign from all civic clubs and responsibilities however he was allowed to continue as an elder in the First Presbyterian Church where he teaches the men's Sunday School class. Warren Creighton Mr. Creighton is a 1962 graduate of the University of Arkansas. Upon graduation, Mr. Creighton began a thirty-year career in the public finance business. Mr. Creighton served as the Chairman and CEO of UMIC, an investment banking firm in Memphis, Tennessee, from 1966 to 1980 and President & Vice Chair of Union Planters Bank Corp, Memphis, Tennessee, from 1980 to 1985. From 1985 to 1995, Mr. Creighton served as a missionary in Romania. In 1995, Mr. Creighton moved to High Point, North Carolina and became the CEO of First Wesleyan Ministries Senior Housing. In 2004, Mr. Creighton relocated to Searcy, Arkansas where he directs the financial and strategic aspects of the Company. Mr. Creighton has extensive experience in developing, financing, and management of housing and health care projects financed under various HUD mortgage insurance programs. As CEO of UMIC Housing Company, he was directly responsible for developing and managing over 2,000 units of Section 8 housing for the Elderly. In addition, Mr. Creighton acted as contract project developer/manager for Providence Place, a $50 million Christian community consisting of over 700,000 square feet of buildings including 2,500 seat conference center/church, 150,000 square feet of commercial retail/office space, 200 residential apartment units for senior citizens independent living, 129 bed skilled nursing center and 16 cluster single family housing units located in High Point, North Carolina. In 2004, Mr. Creighton served as an owner's representative for Triad Village Apartments, a 108-unit residential rental community for senior citizens located in Kernersville, North Carolina (the "Triad Project"). Mr. Creighton negotiated the construction contract on behalf Triad Village, LLC, the owner of the Triad Project (the "Triad Owner"), secured building permits for the Triad Owner and coordinated the activities of the architect and the contractor for the Triad Village Project on behalf of the Triad Owner. Mr. Creighton role as owner's representative concluded upon the completion of the financing for the Triad Project. Stephen M. Downing Mr. Downing is a 1993 graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Downing worked as a manufacturing engineer, as a senior pre-sales consultant and project manager from 1994 to 1999 and as an account executive and senior products marketing manager from 1999 to 2005 for Peoplesoft, J.D. Edwards, Manugistics and Numetrix. In his roles at these companies, Mr. Downing showed Fortune 500 and Mid-size companies how to make improvements to become more profitable. Currently, Mr. Downing resides in Clarksdale, Mississippi and is the Company's managing director and is responsible for operations, project management and development. In that capacity he oversees the daily operations of four assisted living facilities and one multi-family facility which employ over 100 people. These facilities are located in Cleveland, Grenada, Batesville, and Senatobia, Mississippi. |
